Hello Everyone,
My name is Amy Louise and I am one of the freelance coaches here at Real Life Learning.
This month I'm celebrating my first-year anniversary with the company, so I thought I'd share a bit more about me and my coaching approach.
What I Do
I specialise in supporting individuals with neurodivergent profiles to build practical strategies for managing daily life, reducing overwhelm, and increasing confidence. My approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to thrive.
My Method
I use a structured, yet flexible coaching framework designed to address the challenges commonly experienced by neurodivergent individuals, such as disorganisation, time management, emotional regulation, or sensory overload. Here’s how I work with my clients:
Understanding the Individual:I take time to learn about the client’s specific challenges, strengths, and goals, as well as how their neurodivergence impacts their daily life, work, or social interactions.
Breaking Down Challenges:Together, we identify the key areas causing difficulty, such as focus, maintaining routines, managing anxiety, or coping with overstimulation.
Creating Custom Strategies:I develop personalized strategies tailored to their needs. These may include visual tools, structured routines, task management techniques, and sensory-friendly solutions to promote focus and balance.
Building Executive Function Skills:I focus on strengthening essential skills like planning, organization, problem-solving, and time management, helping clients manage tasks independently.
Emotional Regulation and Self-Care:I teach techniques to manage big emotions, reduce stress, and improve self-awareness, building resilience and confidence in navigating challenges.
Ongoing Support and Accountability:I provide consistent encouragement, track progress, and adjust strategies as needed, ensuring sustainable improvement without added pressure.
How This Supports My Clients
This method helps neurodivergent individuals feel more in control of their lives, fostering independence and reducing overwhelm. By focusing on their strengths and creating achievable goals, they learn to navigate challenges with greater confidence.
Clients often experience improved focus, emotional well-being, and self-regulation, enabling them to manage their personal and professional lives more effectively. I work collaboratively to ensure that the strategies we develop are practical, sustainable, and aligned with their long-term goals.
